Buterin is a co-creator and inventor of Ethereum, an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract functionality.
Nick Szabo
A computer scientist, legal scholar and cryptographer known for his research in digital contracts and digital currency. The phrase and concept of "smart contracts" was developed by Szabo with the goal of bringing what he calls the "highly evolved" practices of contract law and practice to the design of electronic commerce protocols between strangers on the Internet.

Eric Voorhees

Gavin Andresen
Gavin Andresen is a software developer best known for his involvement with bitcoin. In 2012 he founded the Bitcoin Foundation to support and nurture the development of the bitcoin currency, and by 2014 left his software development role to concentrate on his work with the Foundation.
Barry Silbert
Began investing in bitcoin companies in 2013, first as an angel investor, and provided funding for many of the earliest companies including Coinbase, BitPay, and Ripple. With the 2015 launch of Digital Currency Group, the investment portfolio now includes the likes of Coindesk, Grayscale Investments, Kraken among others.

Brian was a software engineer at AirBnB before launching Coinbase as co-founder and CEO in 2012.

Tim Draper
Timothy Cook Draper is an American venture capital investor, and in 1985, the founder of the firm that would become Draper Fisher Jurvetson. He also founded Draper Associates and Draper University. In July 2014, Draper received wide coverage for his purchase at a US Marshals Service auction of seized bitcoins from the Silk Road marketplace website.
Tuur Demeester
Tuur Demeester is an independent investor and commentator. He has a background in Austrian economics, the school that specializes in the study of boom-and-bust cycles in the economy. He first discovered Bitcoin on a research trip in Argentina, and started recommending it as an investment at $5 in January 2012.
Vinny Lingham
Vinny Lingham is a South African Internet entrepreneur who is the co-founder & CEO of Civic - an identity protection and management startup. He was also previously the founder and CEO of Gyft & Yola, Inc.
Charlie Shrem
Charles Shrem IV is an American entrepreneur and bitcoin advocate. In 2011 he co-founded the now-defunct startup company BitInstant, and is a founding member of the Bitcoin Foundation, formerly serving as vice chairman. In 2017, he joined Jaxx as its director of business and community development. Later that year, he founded cryptocurrency advisory CryptoIQ.
